Oppo Find 7a Is A More Affordable Version Of The Find 7

oppo-find-7-aa-1Earlier Oppo had announced its brand new flagship smartphone in the form of the Oppo Find 7. The device definitely packs quite a punch based on its hardware and it sounds like it could give flagship smartphones of 2014 a run for its money. After all in some cases it packs better hardware and at the moment only the Vivo Xplay 3S is able to match it in terms of its display.

That being said, it seems that Oppo has also thought about the fact that not everyone needs to have the most powerful smartphone and has also announced a less powerful version of the Oppo Find 7 in the form of the Oppo Find 7a.

The Find 7a is a more affordable version of the Find 7 and will be priced at 2998 Yuan which is about 1000 Yuan cheaper than the Find 7. However in terms of specs, it looks like Oppo did not exactly sacrifice that much to make it more affordable.

Just like the Find 7, it will pack a 5.5-inch display, but instead of a QHD resolution, the Find 7a will come with a 1920×1080 Full HD resolution instead which is perfectly fine. It will also come with 2GB of RAM versus 3GB of RAM on the Find 7, and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset instead of a Snapdragon 801.

Then again some argue that the Snapdragon 801 is essentially an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 800, so we doubt the difference in performance will be that big. The Find 7a will also come with a smaller battery at 2,800mAh versus 3,000mAh, but once again we’re not sure if the 200mAh difference will be that noticeable.

The rest of the phone should remain identical meaning that users can look forward to a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean running the show. The Find 7a will be available mid-April and can be bought either online or offline, so check back with us then for the details.
