xcom-androidXCOM: Enemy Unknown was one of the extremely outstanding games back in the days of SVGA graphics on the desktop PC. Every single turn mattered, as it could end up as a situation of life or death. Well, it seems that the franchise did experience a sort of mini revival in recent times, what with XCOM: Enemy Unknown arriving on the iOS platform last year. How about Android users out there? Thankfully, Firaxis Games’ turned-based strategy game is touted to be on its way to Android soon.

In a recent tweet from XCOM:Enemy Unknown’s official Twitter account, it mentioned that “The Award Winning XCOM: Enemy Unknown is coming to soon to Google Play and the Amazon Appstore!” I guess you will soon be able to play the role of being part of the human resistance against alien invaders on your Android-powered device. On the iOS platform, iPad and iPhone owners were able to enjoy the game since last June for $19.99, and we do not expect the pricing for the Android version to veer too far away from that figure, where in all probability, it would see the price point maintained.

Would you be picking up XCOM: Enemy Unknown for your Android-powered device in due time?
