We’re sure there are gamers out there who don’t mind playing with random strangers. At the same time we also under the appeal behind the idea of playing with your friends. This might be because it’s less stressful, it’s more relaxing, everyone is around the same skill level, and etc. Well the good news for Battlefield 4 gamers is that DICE has recently announced that Squad Join will finally be making its way onto the console version of the game.

DICE has announced that the beta version of Squad Join will be making its way onto Battlefield 4 and for those unfamiliar with that particular feature of Battlefield 4, it basically allows gamers to create a squad of up to five players before joining a game. Once a squad has been formed, the leader will then be able to join games where you will remain with your squad until it has been disbanded.

This means that friends will be able to play with one another through multiple matches in the game. It also opens it up to clans/guilds who are looking to play together as a team. At the moment Squad Join will only be available in base game maps in Conquest, Team Deathmatch, Obliteration, Rush, and Domination game modes, but additional maps and game modes are expected to be added to the support list later.

In a note on Battlelog, DICE wrote, “This is something we know our fans have been asking for – and something we wish we could have provided at launch – so we are now happy to present the first iteration of Squad Join.” It should also be noted that Squad Join will not be arriving for the PC, since PC gamers can easily join one another via Battlelog.
