Over the past few weeks it has been rumored countlessly that HTC is working on a premium variant of its 2014 flagship, the HTC One M8. These rumors have usually been attributed to Samsung and even the Korean juggernaut is expected to come up with a metal body touting Galaxy S5 Prime in the next few months. A 3D render of the HTC One M8 Prime has been leaked online giving us a hint of how the device might look like in the flesh.

The leak comes from popular Twitter personality @evleaks, who has dozens of spot on leaks to his name. He has been teasing details about the device over the past week. HTC is said to use an “exotic” metal compound for the One M8 Prime’s body , which will be significantly larger as compared to the HTC One M8 due to its larger display.

Rumor has it that the device is going to have a 5.5-inch 2,560×1,440 “2K’ display, the kind that’s expected on both LG G3 and Galaxy S5 Prime. It is also expected to have a Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM and LTE category 6 for blazing fast data transfer speeds. It may even be HTC’s first dust and waterproof smartphone.

So far it hasn’t been revealed exactly when HTC plans on unveiling this device. No word on the price as yet. You can check out the render over at @evleaks.
