ghosts-multiplayerWe’re sure many gamers are anticipating Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but in the meantime if you’re still getting a kick from Call of Duty: Ghosts, you might be pleased to learn that the Invasion DLC has been officially announced for both the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4. Prior to this, the DLC was announced first for the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One as an exclusive, but it looks like the exclusivity has since ended.

The Invasion DLC is expected to make its way onto the PS3 and the PS4 come July 3rd, about a month after it was released on the Xbox platform. For those who missed the news, the Invasion DLC will introduce four new multiplayer maps. These maps will range from small to medium, so depending on what kind of matches you want to play, there will be an appropriate size for it.

The maps include are Pharaoh, Departed, Mutiny, and Faela. The Invasion DLC will also introduce a new co-op mission called Extinction. According to the mission’s description, “Descend into an alien underworld and strike at the mysterious puppet-masters behind the Cryptid invasion. Three new Cryptid species await players, along with some familiar enemies and allies.”

The DLC will be priced at $14.99 but if you’re a Call of Duty: Ghosts Season Pass holder, the DLC will be made available to you at no extra cost. So, who’s looking forward to getting their hands on the DLC for the PlayStation platform?
