Earlier this year in March Chinese manufacturer Oppo unveiled two new smartphones, the Find 7 and the Find 7a. The latter is already being offered for purchase but its actually the former that got a lot of potential customers interested in the first place. Oppo Find 7 was actually one of the first smartphones with a 2K Quad HD display to be announced. Now finally Oppo Find 7 pre-orders have been opened up for customers in the U.S. and other countries.

Under the hood of the Find 7 there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. There’s a microSD card slot that provides expansion capability of up to 128GB.Some of the other features of this Android 4.3 powered smartphone include Wi-Fi Display support, 802.11n Wi-Fi, GSM/HSPA+ network support, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC.

The defining feature is without a doubt Find 7’s 5.5-inch 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution display touting a whopping 538 pixels per inch.

The Find 7a is a slightly toned down version, it has a 1080p display, 16GB of onboard storage and 2GB of RAM. However the design is pretty much the same. It is already available for purchase in various countries.

Those who are interested in picking one up can place a pre-order right now. Shipping is expected to begin next month. The Oppo Find 7 costs $599 unlocked and off contract.
