So just yesterday it seems that Tekken 7 was prematurely announced. Now if you were you wondering if the announcement was the real or a hoax, you can rest assured in knowing that it is the real thing. It has since been confirmed by Katsuhiro Harada, the game’s producer himself, who actually mentioned that he had not planned on announcing Tekken 7 today.

Instead it seems that he had another title that he had planned but for some reason got it mixed up. It was not mentioned as to what the other title Harada had planned, but to confirm Tekken 7’s announcement, a trailer for the upcoming game has since been released which you can check out for yourself in the video above.

Unfortunately there is no gameplay footage in the trailer, so we guess we will just have to wait until a later date to see the gameplay itself, but hopefully in the meantime the trailer will be enough to whet your appetite and for gamers to dust off their fight sticks in anticipation of the game.

According to Harada, the trailer was quickly cooked up in his hotel room since he had originally not planned to show off the game, and he has jokingly asked gamers to show a lot of excitement for the game so he can better explain himself to his bosses at Namco Bandai when he gets back to Japan.
