HTC has a press event planned for tomorrow in New York City where it is expected to announce a new product. It appears that the company may be gearing up to unveil the much rumored HTC One (M8) for Windows Phone. Earlier today we featured leaked press images of this device and now an image of store displays destined for Verizon’s brick and mortar establishments has appeared online, lending credibility to the assumption that HTC may very well introduce the HTC One (M8) for Windows Phone tomorrow.

WPCentral received this image for a source which claimed that the display is meant for a Verizon store in Virginia. The source says that the display will be put up tomorrow.

It is interesting to note that it reads “Available now on Android or Windows” on the display. Previous rumors have suggested that the only difference between this smartphone and the HTC One (M8) for Android that was released earlier this year is just the platform. Internal specifications are expected to be the same, evidently the exterior is similar as well.

We also heard a rumor last week that this smartphone will have a bootloader that will have support for Android, meaning that third party developers can port the software and perhaps work on some dual-boot solution.

Presumably the HTC One (M8) for Windows Phone 8.1 will be first released on Verizon. The smartphone has not been rumored for any other carrier as yet.
