Possible iPhone 6 Resolution Revealed In iOS 8 Files

iphone-6-clone-1We’re sure many of you guys are wondering what the resolution on Apple’s iPhone 6 will be. After all as far as the Android competition is concerned, most OEMs have turned to Full HD displays, with some slowly starting to adopt QHD resolutions, so will Apple be able to match the competition?

Unfortunately if the recent reports are to be believed, it does not seem that way. According to the reports, they have found files for iOS 8 in the Xcode 6 SDK beta which points to resolutions of 414×736. Now before you panic, it should be noted that Xcode uses point values, so you’ll have to double the resolution to get the actual figure.

What this means is that the iPhone 6’s display resolution could be set at 828×1472. It is unclear if the rumored 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will use the same resolution because if that is the case, naturally the pixel density on the larger phone will be smaller than the 4.7-inch model. However regardless, both models will cross the 300ppi mark which Apple has determined to be of “Retina” quality.

In any case make what you will of this information, but hopefully we will find out more when Apple makes their announcement, which at this point in time has been pegged for the 9th of September, so do check back with us then for the details. In the meantime is anyone else a little disappointed by the possible resolution?
