plastcThere are some of us out there who can appreciate a slim wallet or a purse. This comes in handy when we are attending events in which a large handbag or a fat wallet might seem unsightly. Well the good news is that if you’d rather not carry around a wallet or purse stacked to the heavens with your credit cards, loyalty cards, and whatnot, the Plastc Card could be the answer.

Announced by Plastc, the Plastc Card is basically a card that can store all of your cards’ information into a single card which means that your wallet/purse can thank you for keeping it slim. The card will be able to store other cards like credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, loyalty, membership, and so on, all of which can be accessed at anytime.

Users will be able to switch between the different cards by swiping its e-ink touchscreen display which can display the name, card number, or even barcodes, depending on the card that is being called for at the moment. It comes with NFC/RFID technology so cards that are tappable against machines will not lose their functionality.

Now as far as security is concerned, the card comes with a remote wipe feature that when it detects it is no longer paired with your phone, it will wipe itself to prevent thieves from using it for fraudulent activity. The good news is that it will be able to automatically resync the data when it pairs with your phone again, so it’s not too much of a hsasle.

The card will also come with an accompanying app called Wallet that allows users to add new cards to the list, as well as alert users when they are out of range from their card. The Plastc Card is currently available for pre-order via its website where it has been priced at $155 and is pegged for a release in 2015.
