You may already have heard about Telltale Games working on an episodic adaptation of Game of Thrones, a popular TV series on HBO, which is based on A Song of Ice and Fire novels. Just yesterday the developer confirmed that the first episode will be released soon and now it has also revealed details about the plot and characters, which is good, because now folks will know what they’re in for when the game finally launches.
The first episode is titled Iron from Ice and it revolves around House Forrester. If you haven’t heard of them throughout the show that’s because they only get a brief mention in the novels. This northern family is sworn to House Glover, and if you consider the links here, its essentially a lesser house that’s sworn to the Starks.
Gamers will play as five members of House Forrester. The objective is to head to King’s Landing and The Wall in a bid to save the House from death, which is rampant, owing to the war that has spread throughout the realm.
Players will get to visit Ironrath, the home of the Forresters, located deep in the Wolfswood. The House claims much of the timber trade here which doesn’t sit too well with House Whitehill, their rivals.
Telltale Games’ episodic adaptation of Game of Thrones has six episodes in all. The first episode will be released soon for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Mac and iOS.
