Some iPhone 6 And iPhone 6 Plus Handsets Could Carry Faulty Memory

We did make mention of an earlier report that pointed to how some 128GB iPhone 6 Plus users were not too happy that their spanking new handsets were crashing and rebooted at random – only for a newer report from South Korean media outlets to point out the possibility of this being a hardware issue due to the memory controller, rather than it being a software issue. In fact, it was mentioned that there might be a recall from Apple, which was refuted not too long after that. Word on the street has it that these memory issues are very real problems, and they have been discovered in certain number of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units, leading to whispers of Apple making a wholesale change to a different kind of NAND flash technology when it comes to the manufacturing of new units down the road.

It seems that the 128GB iPhone 6 Plus units were not the only ones allegedly affected by such random crashing and rebooting moments, as several 64GB iPhone 6 models too, were also affected. It has also been put forward that the upcoming iOS 8.1.1 update might be able to do its bit in addressing the boot issues which have been a niggling issue among several iPhone 6 Plus users.
