elitebook-folio-1020The good people over at HP have just revealed a spanking new notebook for the business oriented people – calling it the HP EliteBook Folio 1020. This is not the first of the Folio devices to be released, and in reality, it happens to be a couple of different notebooks because it comes with a touchscreen version as well as another model that does not have a touchscreen. Running on Windows 8.1 as the operating system of choice, this particular notebook would target executives.

It is not only sleek but also lightweight to boot, and comes with a build quality that is deemed to be up to military specs standards, now how about that? In addition, it also sports a special blend of magnesium-lithium and carbon fibre, where this unique combination would help make the HP EliteBook Folio 1020 feature a lightweight body that does not compromise on its construction.

The keyboard is touted to deliver perfectly consistent pressure across each individual key, which is ideal for the road warrior who has plenty of documents to type out through the entire day. Apart from that, the HP EliteBook Folio 1020 will operate in an extremely silent manner, and since there is no fan and spinning hard drive, that helps the cause, too, thanks to the use of a solid state disc. Other features include a 12.5” quad HD display with a 720p webcam and HP Noise Reduction Software to reduce environmental sound during those important video calls. No idea on how much it will cost, but do expect them to arrive in January next year.
