mgs-v-groundzeroesMetal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes has been pegged for a release on the PC come 18th December and if you’re planning on playing it on your PC versus the console, it seems that Konami has updated the hardware requirements for the game. The changes aren’t particularly major, but if you were hoping to get the game to run as smooth as possible then perhaps they’re worth checking out.

According to the latest hardware requirements on the Steam page, the minimum specs required for the game will require gamers to have a computer with a Core i5-4460 clocked at 3.4GHz or better. 4GB of RAM is also the minimum requirement followed by a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 with 4GB of VRAM and DirectX 11 and 4GB of hard disk space.

The changes here appear to be the processor in which previously it required gamers to have a Core i5 Sandy Bridge clocked at 2.7GHz or better. As for its recommended specs, the processor required will be a Core i7-4790 clock at 4GHz or better, 8GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or better, and DirectX 11 with 4GB of hard disk space.

Like we said the changes are subtle but worth noting if you’re looking to squeeze the best performance possible from the game.
