Nikon Looking Into D750 Reflection/Flare Issues

D750_24_120_front.highThe Nikon D750 is a relatively new camera as it was launched back in September, however it seems that there are some issues plaguing the device like a reflection/flare that seems to have affected several units. Nikon has since issued a statement about the problem and have stated that they are looking into the matter.

According to Nikon, “We have received indications from some users that when photographing scenes in which a bright light source, such as the sun or high-intensity lighting, is at a certain position along the top border of the frame, flare with an unnatural shape may sometimes occur in images captured with the D750 digital SLR camera.”

That being said, the folks at Nikon Rumors have learnt that not all units are affected by this and that the problem is quite a hard one to reproduce, even by those who were the ones who made the original complaint. There is also word that several Nikon D750 owners have approached law firms regarding a possible class action lawsuit.

It has also been revealed that cameras like the Nikon D810 and the Canon 5D MK II are facing similar issues, although it is unclear as to how widespread those problems are or if they are only limited to a handful of units. In any case we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled, but in the meantime any Nikon D750 owners experiencing these reflection/flare issues when taking photos?
