punch-a-monetDo you love art? Well, art can be very expensive to collect if you are a serious collector, although having to preserve your collection itself is another story altogether – where you would also need to take extra care to ensure that it does not get damaged. However, there are times when you would want to vent your anger – and spoiling an expensive painting could be a therapeutic experience.

Well, if you would want to give one of Monet’s many paintings a lesson in destruction, you can do so without any kind of guilt with this website, Punch-A-Monet. This website is the collective brainchild of Tom Galle, Eiji Muroichi and Dries Depoorter, where it was inspired by an actual incident whom someone actually punched a painting by Claude Monet. 2012 saw Andrew Shannon punch a hole through “Argenteuil Basin with a Single Sailboat”, where he cited that it was just of a fainting spell, having received jail time for the damage after being convicted earlier this year.

Good thing Punch-A-Monet does not have any kind of guards or shocked onlookers in the vicinity, where all you need to do is to position yourself properly, press the spacebar and you will let one rip – with repeated punches bringing up the damage bill eventually.
