According to its creators, they are boasting that the StoneTether has a range of 500 feet which they claim is possible due to a combination of both hardware and proprietary software. This makes it possible for users to keep tabs on their children even if they are as far away as 8 houses down, or help them locate lost items easily.
The device is small enough, as you can see in the image above, where it can be fit onto a keychain, slipped into a wallet, or hung onto a bag, thus allowing users to track a variety of objects and people. It could even be fitted onto your pet’s collar to make sure that if your dog runs away, you will be able to track them, at least to a certain degree.
The accompanying app will also help alert users when they have forgotten something, like their keys, briefcase, bags, and so on. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, then you’ll want to head on over to its Kickstarter page to pledge your support. The project has managed to raise over $250,000, surpassing its humble goal of $15,000 several times over.
