As for those who happen to live in Canada, fret not – there will be a Canadian site that is set up consumers later this quarter. This particular step is not unprecedented, as Alcatel did move in a similar direction in November last year when it introduced for the likes of Spain, UK, France, Italy, Germany. That particular site peddles accessories, and it will see further expansion to other European countries down the road.

Some of the initial unlocked devices to make its way to the US will be the 5-inch Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+”, the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 S and the Alcatel OneTouch Pop 8 tablet, where they will be priced at $275, $198 and $199.99, respectively. Oh yeah, not forgetting the Alcatel OneTouch Pop 7 tablet as well that is going for $149.
