HTC One (M8) Gets Android 5.0.1 Lollipop

htc-501If you happen to own one of the older flagships from HTC, which would be the HTC One (M8), then here is some bit of good news for you to celebrate the end of the first month of this year. I am referring to the arrival of the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update that must have been a long time in coming for owners of the HTC One (M8). It seems that this update has started to appear for the international model of the HTC One (M8), where the firmware would then be bumped up to the latest available version of Android, accompanied by HTC’s very own Sense UI.

Do bear in mind, however, that the HTC One (M8)’s latest Android 5.0.1 Lollipo update would weigh in at a rather hefty 780MB, which means it is best to ensure that you download the update via a Wi-Fi network, and to make sure that your handset has a battery which is at least half full.

Needless to say, any new update would mean that there will be new features that accompanies it, including a revamped notification drawer/quick toggle settings alongside the recent tasks switcher. Most of the other improvements happen to be under the hood, and anything that ends up more stable is always more than welcome.
