Alleged Moto 360 (2015) Render Makes Its Way Online

Moto-360-2015-leak-640x317The Moto 360 was announced and launched last year which means that assuming we’re on an annual update cycle, we can expect Motorola to announce its successor this year. That being said it seems that a render of the device has made its way online via Weibo over in China. The render doesn’t really tell us much but it does share some similarities to an accidental leak by Lenovo’s CEO.

As you can see in the image above, the render shows us a watch that does not appear to be too different from the current Moto 360, although the more obvious changes would be in its bezel. However what’s odd is that the crown of the watch appears to be set at the 3 o’clock position on the watch, while the earlier photo from Lenovo’s CEO suggested a 2 o’clock position.

However it is possible that either photo could have been a prototype which means that there is a chance that the design could change. The render also shows us what could potentially be a new leather strap for the wearable but it remains to be seen if that is actually the case. Other than that the render doesn’t really tell us anything new about its hardware.

Recently it was discovered that Motorola has been testing a device codenamed “Smelt” that some speculate could be the new Moto 360. Not much is known about the device for now, but one thing that we do know is that its resolution is that of 360×360, a jump from the Moto 360’s 320×290 display. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we’ll hear more from Motorola soon.
