According to reports, it seems that AmazonFresh will no longer be delivering alcohol to its customers. This was discovered by a Seattle software engineer Philip Beber who has relied on the service to deliver beer to his company’s office, but one day when trying to place an order, he noticed that alcohol was no longer offered.
He then reached out to Amazon to ask about it and this was the reply he got. “I’m truly sorry that the beer and wine selections have been removed. Unfortunately we really are not sure if or when the item will become available at this time. I completely understand how inconvenient and frustrating this can be. I will forward this feedback and comments to our business team.”
While we suppose it’s up to AmazonFresh to sell whatever they want, one of the gripes Beber had was that Amazon did not communicate these changes to their customers properly. “It’s super annoying that Amazon has done this — removing beer without any announcement or setting any expectation as to when it might be returned. It erodes my trust in them as a company. I wish they would communicate more around these things.” Anyone else bummed by these changes?
