Project Daffodil Delivers Interactive Pop-Up Books Thanks To Electronics Within

project-daffodilJust what the heck is Project Daffodil in the first place? Well, Project Daffodil happens to be a fun project which will bring together elements of a pop-up book alongside the wonders of modern day electronics, with the main readership being girls. The first project would see the protagonist, a young princess known as Cassie, who needs to complete a slew of tasks with her trusty pet dragon at her side so that light to her castle can be restored.

This is no ordinary pop-up book for sure, since it comes with embedded LEDs within the structures, not to mention Cassie’s dragon being creatively used in different methods to light the LEDs. Throughout the entire course of the book, the reader will also be able to pick up different kinds of science principles.

This particular interactive electronic pop-up book was developed as a graduate thesis project for the Masters in Multimedia Program, and this project had a social justice aim in mind. The whole idea was to encourage young girls’ interest in electronics, and I am quite sure that it will be able to rough up the norm at the moment in order to achieve its objective. Hopefully there will be an interactive choose-your-own-adventure book in due time, too!
