htc one e8_2

HTC One E8 owners in Sprint have waited for quite some time for the Lollipop update to arrive despite the fact that the carrier released this update for the HTC One M8 back in February. There’s not much difference between these devices anyway so many would have expected that Sprint wouldn’t have made users wait for that long, but it did. Finally the carrier has released the HTC One E8 Lollipop update today.

For those who are unaware, the HTC One E8 is more or less the same as the HTC One M8. Internal specifications of both handsets is the same and the HTC One E8 has a larger 13 megapixel camera.

The only major difference between these two devices is the plastic body of the One E8 as opposed to the beautiful unibody metal build of the HTC One M8, but swapping out the expensive material for plastic has enabled the company to sell this device for less than what the flagship commanded.

HTC’s Mo Versi took to Twitter earlier today to confirm that the carrier is finally rolling out Lollipop for HTC One E8. Software version 2.32.651.7 will bring all of the Lollipop goodies that users have been waiting to get their hands on.
