Over the past few weeks it has been reported multiple times that Samsung has a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge in the pipeline, this particular handset is expected to feature a 5.5 inch display. Today purported dimensions of this handset have been posted online as well as the possibility that it might come with a 3,000mAh battery.

Battery life is one of the biggest issues that some people have with Samsung’s new flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have a 2,500mAh and 2,550mAh battery. Samsung shipped a bigger one with the Galaxy S6 Active and it just might do the same with the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

According to the rumor the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will have a 5.5 inch display instead of the 5.1 inch display on the original S6 Edge, and it will have a 3,000mAh battery instead of the 2,550mAh one found in the other one. It’s expected to come in at 151mm x 73mm (height and width).

It’s also believed that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will feature a Snapdragon 808 processor from Qualcomm instead of Samsung’s own Exynos 7420, coupled with 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage as well as a 16 megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and support for 4K video recording.

Samsung has not yet confirmed if and when the larger Galaxy S6 Edge model is going to be released and how much it will cost.
