samsung-galaxy-s6-edge_006The Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge both feature 5.1-inch displays which some users might consider to be “sensible” as it isn’t too big to be held and used with one hand. However there are some users who might prefer a larger phone which is why some are probably holding out for the Galaxy Note 5 which should be announced at IFA 2015 later this year.

However according to the rumor mill, Samsung could have something that might cater to users looking for a large screen but don’t want to pay for a high-end device like the Galaxy Note 5. The device in question is dubbed the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and it is basically a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Dubbed Project Zen 2 internally, the handset is said to feature a display that could be anywhere between 5.4-inches and 5.5-inches. It is also rumored for an announcement in the coming weeks instead of IFA as it was originally planned. A Snapdragon 808 is rumored to be powering the handset and will feature 32GB of storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 16MP front-facing camera, but no word on its resolution just yet.

It seems odd that Samsung would announce such similar devices but perhaps they believe that the dual curved edge display has caught on. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but check back with us in the next few weeks for the details.
