samsung z1_1For us humans, we tend to celebrate a happy occasion with a meal among close friends and family, or perhaps go on a holiday or reward ourselves with a nice and fat bonus. However, when it concerns a smartphone, what happens when a particular handset experiences a huge success? The folks over at Samsung decided that the Samsung Z1, which runs on the Tizen platform, has made quite an impression with a sales figure of more than 1 million (targeting countries like India and Bangladesh), which is why they are lining up a gold edtion of the Samsung Z1.

It is not strange to hear about how Samsung has been working to promote its very own Tizen operating system – that is to be expected, kicking off with the Gear smartwatch in 2014, while the Samsung Z1 smartphone is the most recent device to roll out from their stables that does so. Arriving at the one million milestone took approximately half a year to achieve, which is not too shabby considering those who hopped aboard do not really know what to expect, unlike one picking up an iOS or Android device.

The gold variant of the Samsung Z1 is expected to remain similar in terms of hardware and software as with the normal model, save for a change in external color that provides a more regal look.
