cod_black_ops_3Earlier this year it was confirmed that there would be an open beta for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 title, but unfortunately apart from the confirmation of the beta, it was not known as to when the beta would be released. Well if you’re looking forward to checking it out, we now have a solid date for you to look forward to.

Treyarch Studios has recently announced that the open beta is expected to begin on the 19th of August. However it should be noted that the beta is an exclusive to PlayStation 4 gamers first, meaning that unless you own a PS4, the 19th of August date will probably mean little to nothing to you.

However Treyarch does plan to bring the beta to Xbox One and PC gamers eventually, it’s just that for now, PS4 gamers will get first dibs which presumably will be for the first 30-days. In order to gain access to the beta, players will have to pre-order the game which you can still do so, so if you haven’t already perhaps you should go ahead and do just that.

In the meantime Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is expected to be released on the 6th of November 2015. It will also make its way onto older consoles like the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
