Alleged Galaxy Note 5 Prototype Shows Off Regular S Pen Stylus

galaxy-note-5-prototype-2A report from a few days ago suggested that the rumors of an auto-ejecting stylus in the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would not be happening. If you’re looking for more proof that this is the case, a recent set of photos has surfaced which is allegedly the prototype of the upcoming handset.

In these photos, it shows off the stylus portion of the phone and from what we can tell, it looks like there might not be an auto-eject mechanism after all. In fact it looks like the stylus can be removed using a finger or a nail to pull it out. Then again we can’t be 100% sure as to whether or not these photos are the real deal, so take it with a grain of salt for now.

That being said, rumors of an auto-ejecting stylus recently made their rounds when a rendering of the handset leaked online. It showed the stylus of the phone sitting flushed against the side of the device, indicating that the only way to remove it was through some kind of spring mechanism, or as a recent Samsung patent had suggested, through a software release.

In any case take it all with a grain of salt for now, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has been rumored for a launch in August, skipping its habitual appearance at IFA, so if that is the case we won’t have to wait too long to see if the rumors are true.
