Samsung Z3 Tizen Smartphone Might Not Launch Stateside

samsunglogoIf you were hoping that maybe, just maybe that this time around you might get to see a Samsung Tizen smartphone launch stateside, you could be disappointed. According to the folks at SamMobile, it seems that this won’t be the case as the upcoming Samsung Z3 is said to be launched in countries such as India, Bangladesh, and Nepal.

That being said, it isn’t surprising to learn that Samsung has chosen those countries. After all the first Samsung Tizen smartphone, the Samsung Z1, was launched in India where it was positioned as an entry-level smartphone with an affordable price tag, and based on what we know about the Samsung Z3 so far, we wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung was planning on giving it the same treatment.

According to the rumors about the Samsung Z3’s specs, it is said to feature a 5-inch 720p HD display with an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor under the hood with 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot for memory expansion, and a 2,600mAh battery.

Samsung has yet to confirm the existence of the Samsung Z3 handset, but last we heard it is likely that Samsung will officially announce the handset at the Tizen Developer Summit which is scheduled for the 30-31st of July, so do check back with us then for the details.
