The Sony PlayStation just turned 20 not too long ago, and with that, it brought back fond memories of Gran Turismo 2 which offered photo realistic graphics (back then, of course), alongside impossibly long load times that was pretty frustrating, but it felt worth it whenever a track was loaded. Having said that, if you have played through the entire Gran Turismo series over the years, and wished that you could have a say in how a particular track was designed, fret not – the buck stops with you with the latest Gran Turismo 6 update, especially when it boasts of the GT6 Track Path Editor.

Track data can now be conjured via a special app for tablets with Android (4.1 or later) or iOS (7.0 or later). These tracks that you design can be saved before being imported into “Gran Turismo 6”, letting you play them out within the game itself. Sounds like a pretty decent app to fiddle with, and who knows, you might actually end up being pretty good with track design that you could take it up as a career down the road, pun not intended.

The “GT6 Track Path Editor” app can be downloaded via Google Play and App Store for free. [Press Release]
