When you have something as crazy as an emoji movie being in the pipeline, you know for sure that this is something huge which can be capitalized if done correctly. After all, since a picture speaks a thousand words, and flipping the bird seems to be a rather universal insult (which has since been turned into an emoji), what better way to expand the “vocabulary” of emoji than with the inclusion of even more emojis that will accompany the release of iOS 9.1?
iOS 9.1, having been released to developers (albeit in beta mode and us having absolutely no idea at all as to when the masses will be able to enjoy the fruits of iOS 9.1), is said to be the home to a slew of new emojis. One of them that will surely resonate with many people would be the taco emoji, where even Taco Bell kicked off a petition through Change.org earlier this January that amassed over 33,000 online signatures – surely this must have helped nudged the decision in the right direction to see the taco emoji debut? The other kinds of food emoji include a hot dog, cheese wedge, burrito, champagne bottle and popcorn.
Pretty fly emojis that will keep the instant messaging generation in good stead for some time to come, don’t you think so?
