twitter_logoExperiencing an outage where online services are concerned are nothing new these days, although users of such online services do expect there to be a reasonable amount of uptime, and if the outage occurs while most people are sleeping, it is all right – or perhaps not an outage, but a much required maintenance session. Well, Twitter has experienced outages in the past before, and this time around, yet another outage has happened to the microblogging site, leaving some of the service’s users frustrated.

It seems that users of Twitter started to pick up an error message that “something is technically wrong” at 2:45 p.m. ET thereabouts, and the outage does seem to affect only Twitter’s Web client, which means that those who were using Twitter’s mobile app alongside the TweetDeck app had no issues whatsoever with it working. All in all, the micro-blogging site could not work for 35 minutes thereabouts.

It is nice to know that Twitter is now up and running in all forms, although there is no revelation on what caused the outage. Twitter has acknowledged that it ran into some issues though, saying, “Earlier today, some users may have experienced issues accessing twitter.com. This issue is now resolved.” Ah well, all’s well that ends well, right? Tweet away!
