canon_eos_m10_5In the mirrorless camera market, it’s safe to say that Sony is probably one of the leaders. While Canon and Nikon have put out mirrorless cameras, like the recently announced Canon EOS M10, it does feel like their efforts in churning out mirrorless cameras aren’t as big as their DSLR efforts.

However Canon could be thinking of stepping things up. According to a rumor from Canon Rumors, they claim to have heard from a source that Canon could be working on a full-frame mirrorless camera. Assuming this is true, this would be a first for Canon which would also seem them compete against the likes of Sony who already has several models in the market today.

The rumors claim that it might be a while before we actually see it. This is because Canon is said to launch a higher-end APS-C EOS M camera first before the full-frame mirrorless, and given that we were just treated to the EOS M10, this means that it will be a while before another EOS M camera will be announced, or at least that’s what we’re speculating.

It is also said that the full-frame mirrorless would retain a version of the EF-M mount, but it is expected to gain its own set of camera lenses due to image circle issues. Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Would a full-frame Canon mirrorless camera be of interest to you?
