HP-Pavilion-Gaming-notebookWhen we think of gaming notebooks, we think of those big hulking machines that weigh a ton, pack a lot of features, and comes with a price tag that matches its weight. Now if you’d rather not spend a couple of thousand for a gaming notebook but want one that is capable of gaming, you might be interested in the HP Pavilion Gaming notebook.

This is the latest laptop from HP and with a price tag starting at $999.99, it certainly is more affordable than some of the other gaming notebooks in the market today. It also measures 28.8mm thin and weighs 5.46 pounds, making it thinner and lighter than some of the other gaming notebooks out there.

So what kind of specs are we looking at? For starters the HP Pavilion Gaming will feature a 15.6-inch display with a HD resolution of 1366×768, although there is an option to upgrade it to a Full HD one. Under the hood, customers can choose between Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and pack as much as 16GB of RAM.

There will be an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M included in the notebook with up to 2TB of HDD, 1TB of hybrid storage, or 2TB HDD + 128GB SSD storage options. As expected, going with the the SSD option will make the notebook more expensive. It also features speakers and audio technology by B&O Play.
