iPad Pro was one of those Apple products that just never seemed to die in the rumor mill. We had been hearing for a couple of years that Apple was working on a larger iPad but yet year after year it wouldn’t be revealed. Finally the company decided to unveil the iPad Pro a couple of months back and as the tablet has gone on sale, it’s predicted that Apple is going to make $200 in profit off of every iPad Pro unit sold.

When the iPad Pro was announced a few months back analysts predicted that Apple would sell up to five million units of its new tablet during its first quarter on the market. The analysts now predict that this number may not cross three million during the device’s first quarter and yet RBC Capital Markets estimates that Apple will make a generous profit off of this tablet.

It estimates a $200 profit for Apple on every iPad Pro unit sold, this projection expects Apple to sell three million units of the tablet, which would mean that the iPad Pro would earn Apple $600 million in profit on the back of $2.4 billion in revenue.

That certainly won’t be a bad figure for a product that’s on its first ever outing in the market, and amid declining tablet sales, yet we can’t really be sure if that’s how it will really turn out.

Analyst predictions can be hit or miss, but they can provide us with an idea of what to expect, and from the looks of it the iPad Pro is going to make Apple quite a bit of money.
