Apple Watch 2 Rumored To Arrive By June 2016

AppleWatch_01

Earlier this year Apple launched its first truly new product in several years, the Apple Watch arrived on the market in April though in limited quantity at first. Over the past few months availability has significantly improved and now the smartwatch is being sold through third-party retailers as well. Naturally there are questions about the second-generation Apple Watch, about its release timeframe in particular, so obviously there are rumors about it. Word on the street is that the Apple Watch 2 could arrive on the market by June next year.

This would mean that the second-generation smartwatch will arrive a bit later than its predecessor did, and it’s too soon to be sure right now whether it will have supply constraints at first like the Apple Watch or if it will be easily available for purchase from the get go.

Rumor has it that Quanta Chairman Barry Lam, Quanta is an Apple supplier, has recently said that the Apple Watch 2 might arrive in the second quarter of 2016, which means that it’s quite likely that a June launch is on the cards.

Apparently Lam has also said that he expects Apple Watch shipments to increase substantially in the coming year as the second generation model will bring improved hardware and software which will entice more people to spend their money on an Apple smartwatch.

Apple is obviously not commenting on anything related to the next-gen smartwatch right now, as can be expected from this secretive company.
