Samsung Galaxy S7 Firmware Rumored To Be In Development

Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Edge-Plus-01With the success that Samsung has had with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, what with the new design and new choice of materials, we’re sure that many are looking forward to seeing what Samsung could be up to for the Galaxy S7, which we can only assume will be a further refinement of what the company did for their flagships this year.

At this point in time not much is known about the phone, but the latest rumor from SamMobile has revealed that Samsung has apparently begun development of the firmware for the Galaxy S7. According to their sources, the development actually begun a month earlier than when Samsung developed the firmware for the Galaxy S6.

What does this mean? If you recall, there were rumors that suggested that the Galaxy S7 could be unveiled in February 2016 (there have also been rumors suggesting January) so we guess it’s not surprising that work has already begun, and it could also serve to corroborate the claims that it could be launched earlier than expected.

So far what we know about the phone is that it might come in 3 variants. It could also be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Samsung’s Exynos chipset, depending on the market the phone is released in. Either way it’s best taken with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully more details will surface soon.
