samsung logoThe Samsung Galaxy S7 is the South Korean tech giant’s next-gen flagship smartphone and is very likely pegged for a 2016 launch. However the question is, when in 2016? Last we heard, the phone was rumored for a launch in January which is earlier than expected, especially when you consider that the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus won’t even be half a year old.

However according to the latest rumors, it has now been suggested that the handset will instead be launched in February. That being said the details are a bit murky at the moment. It is possible that we could see the phone launched in January followed by a release in February. Either that or the January launch date has been delayed to February instead, but either way it’s all rumors for now so it’s best taken with a grain of salt.

As for the Galaxy S6 that was launched earlier this year, the phone was announced ahead of MWC 2015 which was in March, so a February launch for the Galaxy S7 would make more sense, but like we said it is still a rumor at this point in time. For those unfamiliar with the Galaxy S7, we have heard rumors about the phone possibly coming in three variants.

There are also rumors that suggests it could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and another model could be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos chipsets, depending on which market the phone is released in, but either way we will have to wait for an official announcement so until then, hang tight!
