Over the course of your Facebook usage, you’ve probably liked many pages, followed many people, and joined many groups. This means that there is a good chance when you look at your News Feed, it will be flooded with all kinds of information and will also be a mix of different types of posts and topics.

However if you wish you could sort it out better, or at least have multiple feeds to choose from, your wish could be granted. According to a recent tweet by Jason Stein, it seems that he has noticed that Facebook on his smartphone has started to offer him the ability to select from different kinds of News Feeds, as you can see in the screenshot to the right.

The feeds have been broken down into several categories ranging from the regular News Feed, to one that highlights just headline worthy topics, to style, travel, and more. Facebook has since confirmed to The Verge that this feature is indeed in testing.

According to a Facebook spokesperson, “People have told us they’d like new options to see and have conversations about more stories on Facebook around specific topics they’re interested in. So we are testing feeds for people to view different stories from people and Pages based on topic areas.”

Unfortunately it is not certain when this feature will roll out to the masses, but presumably that will be predicated on the success and feedback users are having to this style, but what do you guys think? Is this a good way of sorting out Facebook?
