AnTuTu Posts Alleged Samsung Galaxy S7 Specs

samsunglogoSince Samsung hasn’t said anything about the Galaxy S7, we can only speculate as to what kind of specs it might pack. Most of this is based on rumors as well as deductions from what Samsung has done in the past. In fact, we might have gotten a glimpse in recent AnTuTu benchmark for the Galaxy S7 Edge.

The Edge is expected to be the version with a curved display, but under the hood, we expect that it will remain the same. However, that might not necessarily be the case, at least according to AnTuTu’s Weibo account (via G for Games) in which it was revealed that the Galaxy S7 could end up being powered by Samsung’s very own Exynos 8890 chipset.

However this shouldn’t really be that surprising, especially when we have heard rumors that Samsung could be using both Qualcomm and Exynos chipsets for the Galaxy S7. The company has done something similar in the past for different markets, save for 2015 where they used Exynos for their flagships.

That being said, apart from the chipset, the rest of the specs seem to be identical, meaning that we can look forward to a 5.1-inch 2560×1440 display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, a 12MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and Android 6.1 Marshmallow. That being said, take these specs with a grain of salt for now but hopefully with a rumored launch next month, we won’t have to wait much longer for the official details.
