oppo-f1-plusWell, well, what do we have here? It was just yesterday that we brought you word on how the Oppo F1 has been officially launched, and the folks over at Oppo do seem to have more than a single handset up their sleeves. Basically, it looks as though there is a larger variant of the Oppo F1, where it is rather uncreative to name it as the Oppo F1 Plus. In other words, Oppo plays the role of Captain Obvious by throwing in the “Plus” suffix, perhaps in order to keep up with the rest of the big boys where naming convention of flagship devices are concerned.

This bit of information is brought over by the good people at GSMArena, so do take it with a pinch of salt since it is not official just yet. Well, they are most likely correct, taking into consideration that a similar design was also seen in the A53 and as well as the R7/R7s/R7 lite. Just to recap, the Oppo F1 Plus is a physically larger version of the camera-centric F1, where the display will now be 5.5” in size, in addition to delivering Full HD resolution as opposed to 720p. Not only that, performance should be a wee bit faster thanks to the inclusion of an additional 1GB of RAM.

Chances are it will arrive some time later this April in India for $395 thereabouts, which is 30% more expensive than what the smaller Oppo F1 would retail for.
