re-zeroIf one were to turn the clock back by 14 years or so, that was when the title Resident Evil 0 was revealed to the rest of the gaming world, where a new and previously unexplored chapter in gaming’s greatest survival horror series was made available. Now that we are right smack in the 20th Anniversary of Resident Evil this year, it would be nice to go back to the basics – which is the reason for the remastered version of Resident Evil 0, as it debuts on the Sony PS4 as well as the PS3.

Since the world of Resident Evil happens to be rather complicated to a certain degree with its range of relationships and the ilk, perhaps a little bit of background information is required. Always look to Resident Evil 0 as the direct prequel to the first game in the series, where the famous Mansion Incident has not even taken place.

Dr. William Birkin is also the biggest threat in the game, who happens to be the brains behind the G-Virus. Resident Evil 0 would see you pick up clues that he and his co-conspirator Albert Wesker were the ones that pulled the strings. The HD release will obviously keep up with the times, boasting of remastered visuals and sound, options for new and classic controls, as well as the all-new Wesker Mode. One can download it for $19.99 a pop regardless of the platform, although those who want the physical discs can pick up Resident Evil Origins Collection for PS4 which will cost $39.99.
