Bethesda has just detailed the biggest update yet for Fallout Shelter. Update 1.4 introduces crafting, allowing players to turn worthless junk into useful items. There are new rooms as well so players can build new Weapon and Armor crafting rooms and use them to create their own items in the game.

Fallout Shelter proved to be an instant hit when it was released for iOS first on June 14th last year. It has since been launched on Android as well and has exhibited stellar performance on both major mobile platforms.

In update 1.4, Lunchboxes contain a bonus 5th card titled Junk. It’s said to be more useful than it sounds. Wasteland explorers are also told to keep an eye out for junk on their adventures. Players can take their Overseer role to the next level by building the new Barbershop to customize the look of any Dweller.

Players can also find new Outfits and Weapons straight from Fallout 4 in lunchboxes or they can craft them. Bethesda has also added new Dogs, Cats and even Parrots to Fallout Shelter. Given that Vault simulation is its #1 goal, time of day is now properly reflected in the game.

Fallout Shelter is available as a free download from the App Store and the Google Play Store.
