The previous Hitman beta took place this month. Actually it took place a couple of weeks ago on the 12th of February for PlayStation 4 gamers, and the 19th of February for PC gamers. However this beta was limited to those who had pre-ordered the game. Now if you’re still unsure if you should order the game before the reviews, here’s a chance for you to try the game.

Square Enix and IO Interactive have recently announced that they will be hosting another Hitman Beta, except that this time this beta will be exclusive to PlayStation Plus members. If you are subscribed then you should be able to take part in it. It will begin on the 4th of March and is expected to only run for the weekend, and will be valid for gamers in the US and Europe.

According to IO Interactive studio head Hannes Seifert, “Our initial beta was an extremely helpful moment for our new HITMAN game, as it gave us great insight into how the server game mechanics function under pressure. A lot of those pressure points are currently being strengthened for release. Now Sony have given us the opportunity to go even bigger to validate some of the initial things we saw. Therefore we are inviting everyone who is a PlayStation Plus member to try the same beta and you don’t have to pre-order the game.”

This beta will let players play The Prologue portion of the game, which is also the first episode of Hitman. Note that this is only for PS4 gamers with PlayStation Plus subscriptions, so PC gamers and Xbox One gamers will have to sit this one out. Hitman has been pegged for an 11th of March release, so we guess you guys won’t have to wait that much longer anyway. In the meantime you can check out the Legacy opening cinematic in the video above.
