Update – In a statement made to GameSpot, EA said, “MacFarlane Toys will be releasing toys inspired by Titanfall in Winter of 2016. We have yet to provide a release date for the next Titanfall experience from Respawn.”

Last we heard, Titanfall 2 was expected for a release in the fiscal year of 2017. This means that anytime from the 1st of April to the 31st of March, 2017 is a possible release date. However the good news is that we might not have to wait until 2017 to get our hands on the game, at least according to McFarlane Toys.

According to a recent announcement by the company, the company announced that they will be partnering with the developers of Titanfall 2, Respawn Entertainment, to make an official line of toys based around the game. He also revealed that the toys will be released alongside the game in the winter of 2016.

McFarlane Toys’ CEO Todd McFarlane (creator of Spawn) said, “This is a perfect fit. McFarlane [Toys] was created so I could make cool stuff just like this. Without saying too much about the new game… You’re not going to believe where we can take this.” The toys are expected to be around 7-inches tall and will feature “the same meticulous level of detail that McFarlane has become known for over the last two decades.”

That being said, we suppose a release in the later part of the year wouldn’t be a stretch, but note that Respawn and EA have yet to officially announce a release date for the game, so until we hear from them, try not to get your hopes up for a winter 2016 release just yet.
