On this very date last year, Amazon introduced Dash Buttons, the buttons enable customers to easily order products they purchase regularly with one press of a button. There’s no need to pull out your smartphone or use Amazon on a computer, just press the computer and the product will be on its way to you. Over the past 12 months, it has gradually released Dash buttons for more products. Today Amazon has announced that it now has Dash buttons for more than 100 different products.
Dash Buttons are available for a variety of categories including but not limited to office products, pet supplies, feminine care, batteries, beverages like soda, tea and juice and even sunflower seeds.
New brands that have been added to the list include Red Bull, Seventh Generation, Slim Jim, Snuggle, Starbucks, Trojan, Vitamin Water, L’Oreal Paris Revitalift, Lysol, Peet’s Coffee, Playtex, and more.
Amazon has revealed that its Prime members are increasingly using Dash buttons to stay supplied with everyday essentials, adding that orders originating from Dash buttons have grown by 75 percent. Customers are using them more than once a minute now.
Dash buttons are available to Amazon Prime members for $4.99 each, they’re essentially free because, with the first order placed through the button, members get a $4.99 credit to their account.
