lg_x_cam_x_screenDuring MWC 2016, LG took the wraps off two smartphones – the LG X Cam and the LG X Screen. Follow-up reports later suggested that both phones would be released later this year, but the good news is that it seems that we didn’t have to wait too long. According to a recent announcement made by LG, it seems that the global rollout of both phones will begin this week.

South Korea will be the first market that will be selling both handsets, but according to LG they expect that the phones will make its way to international markets shortly after. According to LG’s press release, “The X screen and X cam will first be available in South Korea followed by key markets worldwide including Europe, Latin America and Asia.”

Unfortunately there was no mention of whether the phone will be making its way to North American markets, so until we hear otherwise we suggest you not holding your breath. That being said, for those who missed the handsets’ announcement, the LG X Cam and X Screen are devices where their names indicate which area the phone will focus on.

For example with the X Screen (pictured to the right), it will sport a secondary display ticker on the top of the phone similar to the LG V10. As for the LG X Cam, it will sport exclusive camera functions and will come with a 13MP/5MP dual rear-camera setup. No word on pricing but we reckon that this will vary from market to market.
