Today Will Just Be ‘Part 1’ Of The Tesla Model 3 Unveil

It was previously reported that Tesla might not reveal everything about its upcoming car today and that has turned out to be true. On the eve of the announcement, Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted that this is just “part 1” of the Model 3 unveil. The event is scheduled to take place later today near Los Angeles. It’s a major moment for the company as the Model 3 is going to be its first electric car that’s truly meant for the mass market.

Tesla already has several fully electric models in the market but they’re not exactly cheap even with federal and state tax credits. The Model 3 is expected to have a base price of about $35,000 before tax credits so it’s going to be more affordable for the average consumer that’s ready to go electric.

Musk didn’t reveal what he won’t be revealing at today’s event, but when asked if we’ll even be able to see the car properly, he responded that the car will be shown off in all its glory but some “important elements” will be added, and some will evolve.

He didn’t go into the details of these important elements so we’ll have to wait for a bit to find out what that’s all about. Fans of the company have already started lining up outside its stores to pre-order the Model 3, even though they’ve not even seen what the car looks like. As I mentioned previously, this is a pretty big deal for Tesla, and many of us are certainly very excited to see its first mass-market all-electric car.
