It looks like the WhatsApp beta app for the Windows Phone platform has certainly gotten its fair bit of features as well as improvements in recent times, and the most recent addition is definitely a step in the right direction, that is for sure. We are referring to version 2.12.338 of the private WhatsApp beta, and in this particular version, users will gain the ability to trim video prior to sending it.

Of course, the video trimming feature is old hat by now for WhatsApp users on other platforms, but at least Windows users will also be able to enjoy it now, and this is in addition to the video compressor that was introduced not too long ago as well. In other words, users now have the ability to send longer videos compared to before – and as usual, the standard caveat applies, if you do not want just about anyone else to see this video that you are about to send, then don’t do so to even your trusted mates as the Internet pipes are far leakier than any rickety old pre-war home.

It seems that the latest video trimmer feature will function best with fairly rather “light” video samples, where high quality video that are over 150MB in size would slow down the feature a whole lot.
