It looks like Microsoft has just introduced an update to the Windows Camera app, where it will now come with a fair number of new features which are said to have been long on the list. First of all, there is Rich HDR, which is what it is known in the app as opposed to Rich Capture.
In the past, devices that ran on Windows 10 Mobile came with the option to set Rich Capture to off or auto, without allowing the user to turn it on at their whim and fancy. Not any more, however, as Windows 10 Mobile devices will now come with the forced Rich HDR option. It remains to be seen, however, as to whether this is Rich Capture rebranded, or whether it functions in a different manner, as initial tests with the Lumia 950 and Nokia Lumia 930 snapping an image in Rich HDR mode resulted in the devices rebooting themselves.
Apart from that, there is also the ability to take a break as you shoot some video – in other words, pause, which so happens to be a pretty normal feature on what other devices carry all this while. According to Microsoft, not everything is picture perfect just yet, as they are still working out on other matters and bugs to make it all the more better to use down the road.
